The following alumni have expressed an interest in running for a position on the Marching Mizzou Alumni Band Board of Directors. The election will take place during the open registration period for Homecoming 2022. Only those who have completed their registration for Reunion Weekend will be eligible to vote. You will be able to vote for up to four nominees.

Here are the nominees (in alphabetical order):

Sarah Carnes-Lemp

Lee’s Summit, MO

Years in Marching Mizzou: 1999-2002

Previous leadership positions or service to M2: none

Why do you want to serve on the alumni band board? Why should someone vote for you?: I would like to be a part of something that had a great impact on my life.

Andy Kendig

Chesterfield, MO

Years in Marching Mizzou: 1979-83

Previous leadership positions or service to M2: Board Member, Treasurer, Registration, Transportation, Films on website.

Why do you want to serve on the alumni band board? Why should someone vote for you?: My interest in being on the board is communications. You learn many interesting things being on the board- including things that the general membership should know. And, after being off the board, I’m seeing the disconnect again. If elected, I would like to help provide board-meeting updates, and “did you know” blurbs to the website, Facebook page and social media outlets and keep our members informed and engaged. All of the board activities: feeding M2 at Tiger Walk, registration, get-togethers and logistics are fun!

Chloe Maltagliati

Columbia, MO

Years in Marching Mizzou: 2016-20

Previous leadership positions or service to M2: Piccolo section leader from 2017-2020; member of TBS and the uniform committee

Why do you want to serve on the alumni band board? Why should someone vote for you?: I absolutely love the band and its traditions. I want to make sure those who come after have the same amazing experience as I did!

Leilani (Dvorak) Tiefenthaler

Columbia, MO

Years in Marching Mizzou: 2012-13

Previous leadership positions or service to M2: none

Why do you want to serve on the alumni band board? Why should someone vote for you?: My first year at  the University of Missouri as a transfer student was challenging and Marching Mizzou provided me structure and friendship to succeed during that transition period. My experience turned to the desire and passion to support college students. I have now served the University of Missouri as a Student Affairs Professional for 5 years and would love to bridge my support over to Marching Mizzou.
